OTA examples on ESP IDF stopped working

Hello, guys,

This topic has been already discussed but I have to reopen it as I found many similar issues but no suitable solution.

Both ESP IDF OTA examples and my own project based on the code of these examples worked perfectly until something went wrong... I re-installed ESP-IDF, but this didn't help.

I have esp32 and esp32s3 boards and on both, I get error messages of the kind:

E (10713) esp-tls: [sock=54] select() timeout
E (10713) TRANSPORT_BASE: Failed to open a new connection: 32774
E (10713) HTTP_CLIENT: Connection failed, sock < 0
E (10713) esp_https_ota: Failed to open HTTP connection: ESP_ERR_HTTP_CONNECT
E (10723) esp_https_ota: Failed to establish HTTP connection
E (10733) advanced_https_ota_example: ESP HTTPS OTA Begin failed

When I enter the URL in Internet Explorer on my PC it works and I can download the file.

So what is missing in ESP IDF, does anybody know?

Hard to say... can you run something like tcpdump or wireshark on the server (or a gateway inbetween) to see what packets are sent/received?
