I2C Timeout on VCNL4010 Sensor

I've been able to communicate with several devices using I2C bus. (Is-7021, OLED display and a BMP temp/press sensor).

When I try to initialize and control the VCNL-4010 light/proximity sensor, the I2C libraries always return a timeout error.

1. My development board is an Adafruit EPS32 Feather
2. I'm using the ESP IDF toolchain
3. The VCNL-4010 is an Adafruit product

Any suggestions or sample code for the VCNL-4010?
