[own mistake-solved] VDD_SDIO 1.8V switch back to 3.3V after reboot, boostrap not helpfull
hi folks
first:
we can set up by bootstrap pin GPIO15 the VDD_SDIO to 1.8V by pull up and by pull down to 3.3V
so stand it in each docu and in each post .
please do this example:

take a DevKitC V2
for can measurung VDD_SDIO Voltage on Flash example it is the Flash PIN no 8
you need to de solder the metal case of wroom32 by hothair
now pull up the GPIO 15 pin to VDD3.3
this means, that we then have VDD_SDIO 1.8 on the flash pin no 8 as VCC
then boot, and then do measuring.
i hope you can post your measuring here and we can discuss the mystic which the "espressif engineers" here
i am happy if someone can make the DevKitC test -

and i have bootstrap pulled up by wire without! resistor to vdd3.3
after boot, i can measuring 1.8 very well
after firmware try to enable psram, there is a guru and then a reboot
and then the VDD_SDIO is switching back to 3.3V and never switch to 1.8 again.
i wounder
- what is by a reboot by "wake up" later with this technic ( 1.8 flash, 1.8 psram ) if there is a reboot, is there then 3.3V again?
- why is this so?
- is this a SoC bug in rev 0 and rev 0.1 0.2 0.3 0.4 0.5 0.6 0.7 0.8 0.9 0.91 0.92 and so on
- is this bug not more in Rev 0 in wrover ( in wrover rev 0 this is solved by HW )
- is this bug not more in Rev 1 in wrover ( in wrover rev 1 this is solved by SoC revision)

you suggest in the past to use bootstrap by wire

I don't know what you are saying. You mean with gpio12 3.3v strap and crash, ROM bootloader does not properly read strap? What is printed value of strapping pins?

then we have 1.8V on the VDD_SDIO from SoC regulator
right?
after a crash on psram -
right - the ROM bootloader does not properly read the strap again and it switch to 3.3V
and it switch from 1.4 to 3.2 and never back again to 1.8 ( or 1.4 ) the video is gif animation ( 1.8 )
i have wired IO15 to 3.3 ( blue wire )
FYI: in the WROOM32 is 1.8V Winbond FLASH mounted
it is now damaged i think - like all other 100 boards here ... and IC's
i pulled up IO15 and SoC ROM does not read the bootstrap after crash!
this happens only!!!
if i test on psram!
if i take a new WROOM32
and solder 1.8 flash
and pullup IO15
and download a hello wolrd
the regulator works well 1.8 V

The embedded flash operates at 1.8V. For the ESP32 series of chips that contain embedded flash, the MTDI/GPIO12 should be pulled high.
