ESP32 WiFi Won't Connect To Any AP But Will To My Cellphone

I have a application that uses the ESP32 to connect to my home 2.4 GHz wifi. The problem is it won't connect to any of 3 different wifi routers that I have tried. All were using channel below 6. I've tried them in either open or password protected.

But it will connect to my cellphone when running it in the hotspot or tethered mode. What is special or different about the cellphone than the wifi routers?

Check your router logs.

The log doesn't show any connection attempts from the MAC of the ESP32.
