Powershell wrapper for WSL has been removed from ESP-IDF VSCode Extension v1.5.0.
As a result flashing from within Visual Studio Code does not work for me any more.
V1.4 has had a powershell wrapper that (optionally) calls the Windows version of python, with all the windows libraries that know about COM##-devices, whereas in V1.5 it seems we have to use /dev/ttyS###-devices. But I am afraid COM-ports are not mapped to tty-devices on WSL2.
Actually the Powershell wrapper worked pretty fine for me, I am missing it.
But I guess (hope) it has been removed because there is a better way. What is that way?
(I know I could use a TCP-tunnel or usbipd, but setting these up manually every time is quite cumbersome compared to the powershell wrapper which worked out of the box.)
VS Code Extension v1.5 + WSL2 -> how to flash!?
