Hello,
I have a fresh install of the Espressif-IDE v.3.0.0 on an also fairly fresh install of Debian Linux with KDE.
I'm unable to create a new "Espressif IDF" Project, which is, I assume, what I would do to get started.
The ESP-IDF build environment has been added in the ESP-IDF Manager.
First I tried with an existing ESP-IDF directory, that I had installed with the install script previously.
This one was working too, I was able to build and flash the "hello_world" example just from the terminal.
Then I tried letting the IDE create a new ESP-IDF directory and re-download all the stuff on it's own.
In both cases, when I click on Menu File -> New -> "Espressif IDF Project"
or "Create new Espressif IDF Project" in the left panel of the IDE, nothing happens. No errors.
Does someone have an idea what's going on here ?
Thanks in advance, Jonas
Espressife-IDE 3.0.0 (Linux): Can't create Espressif IDF project
Re: Espressife-IDE 3.0.0 (Linux): Can't create Espressif IDF project
It's fixed, I found the error after finding this Github issue through a Google search:
https://github.com/espressif/idf-eclips ... issues/864
As mentioned there, it was fixed by installing the package "libwebkit2gtk-4.0-37"
