What is the actual format for PIXFORMAT_RAW?

Is there documentation anywhere for the actual format of the data you get when you choose to capture PIXFORMAT_RAW data?

Most likely it is whatever the camera module spits out; my guess would be uncompressed Bayer-pattern readings.
