Using ADF with Amazon FreeRTOS ?

Curious if anyone has had luck with compiling applications that use ADF with the Amazon FreeRTOS and if so, what steps you took to make it happen? Amazon FreeRTOS requires the IDF_PATH be removed from your environment variables, and we can comment out for ADF to force use of the local IDF so that we don't have build issues there, but a number of other problems occur, and we're playing whack-a-mole with them. Was hoping someone could shed some light on a strategy that worked for them.
