I am looking for the latest ASM reference manual for ESP32 LX6 CPU instruction set and guides.
So far I got these
>> Xtensa® Instruction Set Architecture (ISA) Reference Manual <<
>> ULP coprocessor instruction set <<
Are those the latest and if not then maybe someone could post the mostly preferred documents.
Thanks
Low level ASM programming reference manuals for Xtensa LX6

See https://esp32.com/viewtopic.php?t=293. There are newer versions of Xtensa ISA manual but we will not probably ever see them.

I haven't read through posts yet but any clues why we wouldn't?michprev wrote:There are newer versions of Xtensa ISA manual but we will not probably ever see them.

ESP_Sprite wrote: In general: The Xtensa docs on the core we use are pretty good. The problem with it is that, as far as I know, we have them because we signed an NDA with Cadence, making it hard to just spread them around. We know this is an issue, and we're working on getting the info out one way or another.
On Oct 21, 2016, no info since then. The last post from Jan 12, 2018 is unanswered.Do you have any news about that as it is very important to have information on instruction set supported by ESP32 (and the extensions available and also number of cycle required for each instruction ...) ?
Not yet, sorry; we've requested it at Cadence, but they still have to get back to us. Be assured we post what we can as soon as we have their permission.

I am sure they will - something is just slowing process down.
They have to keep trying and people must insist.
