Succesfully setup the toolchain but every program I flash (including the 01_hello_world) results in a boot loop with the attached printout. Any ideas?

Code: Select all

What hardware setup, specifically which means of power supply are you using?

From an UNO through the 3V3 pin which, according to spec, should provide up to 150mA. Is that not enough?

Nope, not really. The ESP32 can sometimes pull 200mA continuous, with peaks to 500mA depending on WiFi. Normally, 300mA and good decoupling should get everything working; 500mA will do if you want to be on the safe side.
