Sleep Mode w/o disconnecting BLE device?

Hello everyone,

I'm working on a BLE project. The esp32 act as GATT client that connecting to GATT server and registered for notifying/indicate. I must not disconnect from the GATT server.
Is there any solution that related to sleep mode? In any case, how would you recommend to handle enormous esp32's currents? (I'm getting to 170mA peaks when BLE is on...)

Best Regards,
Albert

Like someone else posted it: BLE (low Energy), but sleep is not yet implemented in BLE mode? Kidding? That's like a race car without tires. Nice to look at it, but useless. The best I could do to connect the ESP-32 to an Android phone/MIT App Inv 2 is about 2-3 seconds with auto-reconnect and using about 170mAh. Clearly unacceptable!
