Power esp32 via arduino that is usb powered?
Will a mega2560 powered by usb have sufficient power to drive an esp32s nodecmu? Thanks.

Yes it should. Your USB can deliver 500mA, the ESP32 draws ~150mA during WiFi communication and the Mega daws even less.
The NodeMCU must be powered from the 5V Vcc pin, not the 3,3V pin. An additional 100μF capacitor is advisable.
Obviously, you should not have too much power hungry additional peripherals...
