New Product using ESP32

Hello!! I'm a newbie working on a project to release a ESP32 based product. What I'm totally unfamiliar with is regulatory testing requirements. By using a ESP-WROOM-32, is it correct to assume that the FCC testing requirements aren't necessary if used unmodified? Looking on the FCC website for requirements isn't clear at all what to do. Thanks in advance for any information to point me in the right direction.

This document gives detailed information about host devices with integrated wireless module https://library.ul.com/wp-content/uploa ... les_v6.pdf
Also, though the ESP-WROOM-32 is Wi-Fi Alliance certified, you must be a member of the Wi-Fi Alliance if you want to apply the "Yin & Yang" Wi-Fi logo

Is the right answer to OP's question ("By using a ESP-WROOM-32, is it correct to assume that the FCC testing requirements aren't necessary if used unmodified?") yes or no"?

And what if Wifi is never enabled, only BT?

The answer is no, only part of the testing requirements are satisfied by the modular certification.

If you are using Bluetooth it is the same, but you need to also meet the bluetooth.com requirements for end products.
