Resetting board to find access point wireless network

I have a ESP WROOM 32 breakout board by Node MCU. It is powered from a circuit which is connected to mains AC power. This circuit has a backup battery so when mains power supply is cut off, the circuit still has got power from the battery. I'm using my ESP32 as a WiFi access point.
Now, every time the mains power supply is cut off, i always have to reset my breakout board using either the EN or BOOT button on the board so that i can find my access point wireless network from a client device.
My ESP32 board is not easily accessible where i have installed it and it is very troublesome to have to keep resetting it every time that the main supply goes off.
What could be causing this?
