ESP32 VROOM-E vs ESP32VROVER-E

I am doing a multimedia project with esp32 vroom. I am currently doing my experiments on esp32 LyraT mini. There is a vrover-e processor on lyrat mini and I can play music via bluetooth and make phone calls via microphone in hfp format on this card. I did not see any difference between vrover and vroom except for external sram. I will use VROOM as a second processor slave in this project and the music to be played will be transmitted to my esp card via spi by another processor. Can I do the same operations with VROOM processor? Or is SRAM a necessary requirement for the project I want? Thanks
