ESP32 Touchpad Wake-Up Issue

Postby Benjamin22 » Fri Jul 26, 2024 4:54 pm

Hello everyone,

I am relatively new to working with ESP32 devices and am experiencing an issue with the touchpad on one of my ESP32 boards. Here are the details:

Problem Description
Wake-Up Difficulty: The touchpad does not reliably wake the device unless I am touching a large metal object.

Observations
Touching Metal: When I touch a large metal object while attempting to wake the device, it reliably wakes up, suggesting that the touchpad’s sensitivity is significantly improved with this additional capacitance.

Consistency Across Devices: The same code works perfectly on other ESP32 devices of the same model, but not on this specific device.

Steps Taken

Adjusted Sensitivity: I have tried adjusting the touchpad sensitivity settings in the configuration.

Ensured Proper Grounding: Made sure that the device is properly grounded.

Request
Given my inexperience, could someone please provide guidance on what might be causing this issue with this specific device and how I can resolve it? Any insights or recommended practices for improving the touchpad’s sensitivity and reliability would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your assistance! :D :D
