ESP32 SDK 3.0-rc1 can work on old ESP-wroom-32 devKit?

Hi,

We bought ESP32 devkit half year ago and the board name is esp32_core_board_v2 and there's "ESP-WROOM-32" label. My question is can I flash new 3.0-rc1 image into it and start my new sample code? If board is dead, can I recover it?
