Voltage protection for ESP32?

I'm ordering several ESP32 with the WEMOS LOLIN32 Lite V1.0.0 board and I want to make sure I buy the right power supplies for them.

Ideally, I would prefer to be able to plug in a wall power supply 5V microUSB (400mah to 1000mah) to charge a LiPo 3.7v 1200mah battery if I use one in the future, instead of having to disconnect the LiPo battery and charge it separately on a dedicated LiPo charger.
Adafruit's Feather Huzzah and the Sparkthing both offer a JST LiPo battery connector and the ability to charge a battery via the microUSB port. Does the WEMOS LOLIN32 Lite V1.0.0 also offer this charging ability? From what I've read, the WeMos LoLin ESP32 is a similar clone of the Adafruit Feather Huzzah: https://frightanic.com/iot/wemos-lolin- ... connector/.
So, two questions:
1. Does the WEMOS LOLIN32 Lite include a voltage regulator to step down incoming 5V current to the board's 3.3v? (IE: Would I be able to use a normal 5V wall USB charger? A post on this forum notes that he/she is using a 5V power adapter: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=690&p=2883&hilit=ch ... ipo#p2883
2. Does the WEMOS LOLIN32 Lite charge the LiPo battery through the microUSB connector?
I understand I can ask Wemos directly on this, but I figured others who are interested in the ESP32 would benefit from finding the answer here.
