Regardinf WiFi and Bluetooth CoExistance

Postby kponnus » Mon Aug 21, 2023 12:11 pm

Hi,

I am reaching out to you for assistance regarding a specific issue we are encountering with our LyraT development board, utilizing ADF version 2.5 and IDF version 4.4.5. The issue pertains to the Bluetooth and WiFi functionalities of the device.

In our current scenario, we have both Bluetooth and WiFi functionalities actively engaged in streaming audio. The data received via Bluetooth is intended to be seamlessly transferred over WiFi. Core 0 is responsible for managing Bluetooth operations, while core 1 is dedicated to WiFi operations.

However, we are currently facing a challenge in achieving consistent data timing from the Bluetooth module. The data callback function, which is essential for receiving Bluetooth data, is exhibiting irregular behavior by not adhering to regular intervals. Occasionally, we experience instances where a substantial burst of data arrives in rapid succession. This inconsistency within the callback function is causing disruptions in implementing effective flow control and optimizing latency.

Our primary objective is to establish a deterministic data input process from the Bluetooth module, even when WiFi streaming is concurrently active. We are seeking your expert guidance on how to rectify this issue and ensure a more predictable and uniform data reception from Bluetooth. This is especially crucial for maintaining reliable performance given our usage of the LyraT development board, ADF version 2.5, and IDF version 4.4.5.

We sincerely appreciate your time and support in addressing this concern. Your insights and assistance in resolving this matter would be invaluable to us.

Thank you for your attention, and we eagerly anticipate your advice.

Best regards,
kponnus
