ESP32-S2-DevKitM-1 and a MAX6675 pins

I'm new to the esp32-s2 and working on a project with a max6676/thermocouple. Does it matter which pins I hook up to the max6675 module for the thermocouple? I can't find instructions specific to the ESP32-S2-DevKitM-1 so using this one. Certainly VCC and GND need to be connected to the appropriate pins but wondering if the SCK, CS and SO pins can just be connected to any old GPIO pins?
