build failed on reinstallation of esp-idf cmd line toolchain

my esp-idf v4.3 was working fine and i was using it for a long time. I wanted to update esp-idf cmd line toolchain version from v4.3 to v4.4, but instead of uninstalling v4.3 i simply shift-deleted the files in C:/Espressif and installed esp-idf v4.4.
it installed successfully but the build command fails every time ( cmd log attached) and says : "ninja failed with exit code 1" I tried to uninstall v.4.4 and install v4.3 again but i still get the same build error.
Platform: Windows 10
Hardware: esp32 WROVER kit
Please note that the toolchain was working fine before i deleted the files.
Any help on how to fix my toolchain installation would be appreciated.
