Hornbill ESP32 Dev - Brownout detector was triggered

Hi,

I received my Hornbill ESP32 dev kit and I tried it with the arduino environment. I can compile and send the code to the board, the fade led program works well :)

But things get annoying when I try to use the bluetooth function of the board. I loaded the SimpleBLEDevice example and the only ouput I get is the following one (it repeats over time):

I did some research and people was talking about adding capacitors to stabilize power line. But I'm powering it with USB, shouldn't the 500mA limitation be enought for this board ??

If you see what I'm missing please feel free to give me a hint :)

Not all USB is created equal. Cables too.

Hornbill looks like it uses a good ldo vreg though.

Yup, check the voltage. I was surprised to find only 4.2V on a cable of mine.

I have the same issue on my Hornbill board.
May be a soldering issue or something with the board design.
My cable works great with nodeMCU - ESP32 Wroom dev board so I would rule out the cable thing.

I had the same problem before, because LOW vol (i used 1 diot ) ...just check power is 3.3v in put for esp32. Then check the current power too to make sure it have normal power working. :D
