I think only administrator can delete account on this forum software. But we (community) don't want to lose your posts, some of them are actually useful. 8-)

thank you so much for your friendly words - i will missing you! i like you :)

honest WiFive

i celebrate in a few days a round birthday.

i wanted give the community a nice modul to this day on the hand "again"

in the past we had a ESP8266 community plan to build ESP8266 board with all pins break out

this was the first modul that have ADC breakout too ( danke jörg )

and was done in 3 days

ESP-ADC DIL version

but the "designer" has done then the modul in the shop and gived not to the community

btw the server firmware is my firmware on the adv video you see my smiley..

and was here before jeroen start esphttpd - look at esp8266.com

so i thinked in the past - what i can do on this day the best again and make me a gift to me byself,

i wanted start kickstarter in june - and talked with a designer i knowed

we talk the same idea to go to kickstarter -

the problem was allways the psram - and the form factor and so on... with old boards on wroom32...

then i haved a nice idea to combine all and surprised with this -

user can update wroom32 boards simple with psram on wroom32 size factor

this design it self maked -

since 3 month we talk with john, since 1/2 we talk about psram

this salami taktik never ending story now eskaliert on twitter now

John Lee promissed moretimes to help - but he did not

i get not the promissing shematic on wrover...

ivan and jeroen have no interesst to test the psram firmware that runs on wrover but not on lyontek

the problem is, that espressif has no psram yet -

they have no wrover yet

so we did ask lyontek to bring the things

and stanley did great and best service

( never talked here from jeroen or ivan that they have lyontek chips in the hand - but have knowed this )

but now - they say - they only support ESP-PSRAM32

is ok - but then please - say it to lyontek too

it is a great friendship partner and wanted only help to come over the bottleleck on psram and so on ...

so you know now fast all -- but not all --

here a secret from our testings :

TopSecS.png
TopSecS.png (243.46 KiB) Viewed 8470 times

ESP32 wroom32 size factor
SoC Rev 2
with 128Mbit flash
with 32/64/128 Mbit psram

done! this week and comes with express now to me in few days.

this was my last post while they do not test my firmware and confirm they "sayings" on work with lyontek psram.

John Lee is for me the biggest word breaker ever.

Oh man so which footprint we should use then? Both I guess but waste board space. This is unofficial module?

They keep moving the target, we have to chase...

Birthday wishes fly out to you across the globe ;)

Hmm, I didn't spot this over the weekend; had non-work things to do then. I can fix this for you if this is still relevant... but you seem to have posted other things afterward; do you still want me to delete your account?

Just the usual, nothing to see here

But can you comment on reason for different form factor with wroom and wrover modules since we see it seems to fit in wroom footprint with leadless flash package.

To be honest, that's also new to me. Will ask around to find out what's up.

Asked around; the module in question doesn't seem to be one of ours.

Edit: Ah, misread your question. My guess is that we want to keep using the SOIC8-format for the flash because of availability and cost issues, but I'm not entirely sure, it may also be because of RF reasons.
