Espressif Systems (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. announces the upcoming release of ESP32-C6, its new WiFi 6 + Bluetooth 5 (LE) SoC.

2021 年 4 月 9 日，乐鑫信息科技 (6988018.SH) 宣布推出 ESP32-C 系列中的又一款新品 ESP32-C6，并首次支持 Wi-Fi 6 功能。ESP32-C6 的 CPU、内存和安全性能与 ESP32-C3 相似，它搭载 RISC-V 32 位单核处理器，时钟频率高达 160 MHz，内置 400 KB SRAM，384 KB ROM，并支持多个外部 SPI、Dual SPI、Quad SPI、QPI flash。ESP32-C6 具有 22 个可编程 GPIO 管脚，支持 ADC、SPI、UART、I2C、I2S、RMT、TWAI 和 PWM。

So this is basically just a C3, but with WiFi 6 added?

Why would they even release the C3, if the C6 seems to supersede it?

(unless the C6 is going to be much more expensive than the C3).

Any update for esp32-c6?
I still cannot find esp32-c6 support in esp-idf, so I'm wondering the status?

It's announced, but not released yet. No guarantees, but I imagine the timeline is to get beta silicon out first before we have 'final' silicon.

Can not say at time now more detailed here from my side.
Datasheet i think is not online available yet so better you contact sales at espressif for any further info in the meantime.

Now I can find the ESP32-C6 in products page of espressif websit https://www.espressif.com/en/products/socs/esp32-c6 .
However, there is no datasheet/modules/devkits information.
When will ESP32-C6 moduels/devkits available?
