Why is the ESP32-S2 so big?

Its size seems to be like the WROVER, but, as far as I know, it does not have PSRAM, so why it is so big?

More GPIO, and slightly increased pitch.

You have 2 versions of S2 modules, wrover with 2MB PSRAM and wroom.
Actually i like they both are the same, because you can solder one or another on the same PCB, with the same pinout and functionality. One exception is PSRAM pin which cant be used on wrover module but is exposed.
