Developing primary and factory applications

I have a basic factory test application that lives in the factory partition and its function is to provide factory test support to the hardware and download the most current production application.

The production application is the "real" application and to-date all of my development has been here without the factory partition.

Now I am adding the factory partition and the factory app but my development is still primarily in the production application which will now live in an OTA partition.

The question:
How do I configure the system so debugging will load my production application into an OTA space (space 0) and configure the OTA data so it will boot the application.
