Hi everyone,
Since NodeMCU cannot run on ESP32 now, so we try to improve ESP32_RTOS_SDK, port Lua for it, and also integrate the Lua modules for it. What's more, the improved SDK is compatible with ESP8266, it can run on ESP8266. We start a new project for the improved SDK, named Luanode. We will provide ESP32 development kit for the project, and come along with a funny application: WiFi Tank. The WiFi Tank is a successful product of http://www.doit.am, the tank utilized ESP8266 as controller, now we replace it with ESP32.
Two days ago, we started a Kickstarter campaign for the project: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/85 ... escription.
Source code of the project published on Github: https://github.com/Nicholas3388/LuaNode
Hope you'll like this project, and back for it. The project is ongoing, we will keep updating it, and the estimated finish time will be at the end of May 2016. Your support will be a great help for our project funding. If you have any question, feel free to contact us. Thanks.

Re: Luanode for ESP32/ESP8266, an improved ESP32_RTOS_SDK
I submitted a pledge, but I am seeing that only a fraction of the $30,000 goal amount has been pledged. Is the project moving forward anyway? The target date is July, not far away. Will the development kits be sent out and there will be a Lua implementation in July?
Re: Luanode for ESP32/ESP8266, an improved ESP32_RTOS_SDK
I received news that the project did not reach the pledge goal and all pledged money will be refunded. The developers say they will implement Luanode anyway, and that Espressif intends to start making the ESP32 available in August.
