Sleeping alternated with bluetooth listening

I use ESP equipped with external RTC. I would like to make ESP asleep and wake-up only by RTC alarm in specific times. But simultaneously I would like to use BT or BLE to deliver the alarm times by user, so no kind of pernament sleeping is not possible in such case. So I think about sleeping of ESP for every several seconds and listening for BT between. Is it a good way or there is a better one?
