The Old Problem
In the Datasheet / TRM
ESP32-S2
ESP32-S2 can address up to 1 GB external flash and 1 GB external RAM.
ESP32-S3
ESP32-S3 can address up to 1 GB external flash and 1GB external RAM.
What is mean with 1GB
- 1Gigabyte
- 1Gigabit
For what stand 1GB ?
usually it is 1Gigabyte
does the S2, S3 supports 1-Gigabyte really ?
On market there are now 1G-BIT Flash available.
Thursday comes the unique - what is hotly awaited - 1G-BIT pSRAM for testing.
So we can not test 1 Gigabyte Flash versions
to check the specified property as one IC for each ( i have an ready to test idea as flash bank 1G*8 and psram bank 1G*8 - no problem to test 1Gigabyte if you mean this with 1GB )
