few questions about using a TFT / LCD Display with the esp32

Hey my fellow DIYer's,

I'm somewhat new to the esp32. I messed around with Arduino's a bunch of times, enough to be dangerous LOL.

I recently started a new project that's been developed from the DIY community, and that project is utilizing an esp32. this project is also using a ILI9341 2.8" SPI TFT LCD Display... so since I have realized the esp32 can drive a full color LCD, it got me thinking though different application / projects to use it with.

so my first question is, is there a GUI tool or utility to create what is displayed on the LCD? I understand that you can display photos but I've seen many instances of it displaying different types of menus with the selectable buttons on the touch screen or real time graphs and dials etc... are all those types of things created using python / Arduino IDE or is there software to help create those types of menus with buttons

so that leads me to my second question, what's needed in order to display a real time graph? is it possible for me to have one of my dashboards from grafana be displayed? Or are those grass created using a different method?


of course I've tried Googling these various types of of questions but haven't really found any newbie friendly answers. so any help you could provide to point me in the right direction would be great
