I am currently working on a project that is for me to deepen my knowledge of how ESP works.
the objective is: I am sending data from the esp to some server. The data is sent normally and I have to problem with that.
Now I want a way to allow me to track the packets that the esp sends to the server using Wireshark.
My laptop is connected to the same router as the esp the router uses WPA2 as security.
I have done some reading and understand that under such security wifi clients can not see the traffic of each other.
So is there exist a way that allows me to be able to see the packets?
Thank you
Approach to sniff Esp packets using Wireshark
Re: Approach to sniff Esp packets using Wireshark
You need a smart/managed switch/router. You may then mirror traffic to another port.
Or (if you can find one) a good old hub after your AP and before your uplink will do.

& I also believe that IDF CAN should be fixed.

Another option is hardwire your laptop, tell it to share the internet and act as a wireless access point, Then connect the laptop to your laptop access point. any packet is wants to sent to or get from the remote server will then be routed through your machine. This adds another IP address in the IP header, and very little else as far as message traffic goes. Win10 may have made internet sharing a bit more difficult, I know it still works in Win7
