I am new to Tasmota and cannot the bin to upload and work.
Tasmotizer reports
Chip is ESP8266EX
Features: WiFi
WARNING: Detected crystal freq 20.28MHz is quite different to normalized freq 26MHz. Unsupported crystal in use?
Crystal is 26MHz
Web searches say this is due to a baud rate error given to esptool.
1) how does one adjust the baud rate used by tasmotizer?
I tried using esptool instead of tasotizer.
I analyzed the esptool command from arduino-ide given to esptool and tried several variations.
Although I could complete the upload the module just restarts.
I note that tasmotizer starts with uploading a stub. I don't have that.
2) Is there an obvious error with my esptool command?
esptool.py --port /dev/ttyUSB0 --baud 460800 write_flash -fs 1MB -fm dout 0x0 tasmota.bin
Here is what I captured from arduino-ide
python /home/christopher/.arduino15/packages/esp32/tools/esptool_py/2.6.1/esptool.py --chip esp32 --port /dev/ttyUSB0 --baud 460800 --before default_reset --after hard_reset write_flash -z --flash_mode dio --flash_freq 80m --flash_size detect 0xe000 /home/christopher/.arduino15/packages/esp32/hardware/esp32/1.0.3/tools/partitions/boot_app0.bin 0x1000 /home/christopher/.arduino15/packages/esp32/hardware/esp32/1.0.3/tools/sdk/bin/bootloader_qio_80m.bin 0x10000 /tmp/arduino_build_685499/SimpleWiFiServer.ino.bin 0x8000 /tmp/arduino_build_685499/SimpleWiFiServer.ino.partitions.bin
tasmotizer does not expose the command it uses.
