AT+CIPSTATUS and STATUS:1

Postby andreab » Thu Aug 16, 2018 11:27 am

Hi,
i'm using the ESP32-WROOM module with AT commands to connect to an AP.

Periodically i use the AT+CIPSTATUS command to get information on the current wifi connection status and sometimes it will return STATUS:1 , but the documentation says:

• <stat>: status of the ESP32 Station interface.
‣ 2: The ESP32 Station is connected to an AP and its IP is obtained.
‣ 3: The ESP32 Station has created a TCP or UDP transmission.
‣ 4: The TCP or UDP transmission of ESP32 Station is disconnected.
‣ 5: The ESP32 Station does NOT connect to an AP.

Someone knows the meaning of the value 1 and if the connection is up? Is it designed as a temporary stetus (however, when i get it it stays at this value, even after a reset)?

Thank you, best regards.
Andrea
