ESP32-Wrover and ESP32-Wrover 1

Hello!

I need Clarification on Antenna being used in ESP32Wrover and ESP32Wrover-1.
Do i have to attach an additional IPEX antenna on Wrover-1.
many images show Wrover-1 without the IPEX antenna on them.

Need clarification on the Antenna of Wrover and Wrover-1. Am about to purchase the Module in bulk.
So dont want to get into the hassle of attaching the Antenna.

Hello, ESP32-WROVER has an embedded PCB antenna, so it does not require external antenna. The ESP32-WROVER-I (it's an I like in IPEX), mounts an IPEX connector for external antenna. So in other words, if you need to attach an external antenna, you have to go for the -I version, if your application can cope with the integrated PCB antenna, then go for the ESP32-WROVER. I hope this helps.
