Will Mouser Carry ESP32-PICO-D4 ICs?

Postby p-rimes » Tue Feb 06, 2018 7:25 pm

Amazing news in the latest Espressif newsletter:
the global distribution agreement we signed with Mouser at the end of January, which is expected to be highly beneficial for both companies. Mouser is now an authorized distributor of Espressif Systems’ ESP8266- and ESP32-based low-power wireless SoCs, modules and development boards.
And here is a list including the current ESP32-based products in stock:
https://www.mouser.com/espressif/

BUT missing from this list currently are the ESP32-PICO-D4 ICs, as well as the newer WROOM modules. Will these be added to the Mouser catalog eventually, and is there a timeline?

If you need it, check out Analoglamb.

Here is the page of all ESP32 boards and chips, they have:
https://www.analoglamb.com/product-cate ... 2-modules/

As you can see, they have the ESP32 chip, as well as the PICO-D4.

Note: Last week I ordered 1pc PICO and an ALBWROVER module from them, but so far they did not ship yet. Probaly they are restocking. Worth the wait

Code: Select all

task_t coffeeTask()
{
	while(atWork){
		if(!xStreamBufferIsEmpty(mug)){
			coffeeDrink(mug);
		} else {
			xTaskCreate(sBrew, "brew", 9000, &mug, 1, NULL);
			xSemaphoreTake(sCoffeeRdy, portMAX_DELAY);
		}
	}
	vTaskDelete(NULL);
}

Yes, as long as the product is in mass production.

OK, that is clear! So then, may I ask the production availability of the ESP32-PICO-D4 (it is not available on Mouser yet, so maybe that part is not fully in production as I had thought?). As well, seems hard to find the ESP32-PICO-D4 ICs anywhere -- only AnalogLamb seems to have them currently.

And my next choice would be the updated WROOM series, but those are also not available at Mouser (yet?).

I just want to pick the smallest official production product, or at least know the timeline of availability before starting to design a new product. Any info on that? Safest choice seems to be the original WROOM, for now.
