Is it possible to use the code ESP8266_MESH_DEMO in ESP32?

Postby bits10 » Tue Sep 05, 2017 5:03 pm

I`m new user of the ESP32. And I want to create a MESH NETWORK. I looked this sample code in github (https://github.com/espressif/ESP8266_MESH_DEMO). My question is, Is it possible to use this sample code ESP8266_MESH_DEMO for to create a MESH NETWORK in ESP32 Module? If no, what the example or code I can use for this?

No, you cannot, that code is ESP8266-specific. We have code for ESP32 meshes in development, however it is not finished yet. We should be making something public about it in a month or two, however.

I am also looking forward to when mesh becomes available, as the ESP32 is a very promising option for use in our mesh network project.

Is this available yet? A few months have passed. Fingers crossed, Steve.

The current plan is to release it in esp-idf 3.1.
