new release 2.1.1 ?

Just took a look to github and recognized a new release.
After a closer look to this release, I'm a bit disappointed.

Let me tell why (order is not priority)
- V2.1.1 is 1268 commits behind master
- reading some posts, there was an idea to release V3.0 before Chinese National Holiday
- some other posts from ESP-guys talk about "will be in upcoming V3.0" or even in V3.1
- there is no published release plan
- questions in this forum have not been answered
- Release V2.0 is more than 7 months ago, V2.1 about 4 months

I'm only a hacker working on porting something to ESP32, actual adding Bluetooth support
Am not a big and important business partner for Espressif
Anyway I feel like being left in the middle of somewhere

2.1.1 is meant as a bugfix release of 2.1; the WiFi bug has been fixed and iirc there have been some fixes in BT as well. It has nothing to do with the v3.0 release, which we're still actively working on. v3.0 has slipped schedule a bit (mostly because we'd rather ship a complete and stable version rather than rush things) but the intention still is to ship it before CNY.

Fully agree to your point, better to get a complete and stable version !!
At least as long as this is not used as knock out argument only.

One more question, CNY is used for Chinesischer Renminbi Yuan
It could be Christmas Next Year.
Hopefully it will be CTY, Christmas This Year

Ah, maybe I'm too used to the China-expat life... it's used for Chinese New Year here, and that's what I meant.
