Hi everyone,
I want to make a CoreXY and really want to go with the LayerFused X301 design and its 300x300 heated bed.
I found a stepper motor rated at 40Ncm torque:https://www.oyostepper.com/goods-40-Nem ... Wires.html
Will these be enough to support a bed using an 8mm leadscrew, 2mm pitch, single head?
Thanks!
Torque of stepper motors
Re: Torque of stepper motors
Hi,
I am not familiar with that specific setup, but I built a 3d printer some time ago which I now use regularly (it is cartesian not coreXY). I used similar nema17 stepper motors for the x and y axes. I would recommend that you double up the motors on each axis whenever possible and/or consider a cooling strategy as I have noticed that mine can get extremely hot for long prints (24+ hrs). If you are using only one motor for an axis, I suggest getting a more powerful motor than the one you posted.
