ESP3212 is an ESP32 module by ai-thinker
ESP-WROOM-32 is an ESP32 module by espressif

ESP-WROOM32 is a module developed by Espressif.
ESP3212 is a module developed by (iirc) AI-Thinker. It's slightly smaller than the ESP-WROOM32, but lacks external pads for the SDIO pins.

The most significant difference is that the pinout and pitch differ between the modules. You will not be able to solder an ESP WROOM32 to a ESP3212 board and vice versa.
