Using Flyswatter2 on Mac OS with OpenOCD

Postby jimhelios » Wed Jun 17, 2020 8:11 pm

I am able to use a J-Link JTAG debugger successfully with my board, now I'm trying to use a Flyswatter2. Espressif supplied a config file for this device, but OpenOCD is unable to talk to the Flyswatter2. I can see it on the lac with lsusb and system profiler. I would appreciate any help, thank you...

When I run OpenOCD I get:
Jims-MacBook-Pro-486:~ jim$ sudo openocd -f interface/ftdi/flyswatter2.cfg
Open On-Chip Debugger v0.10.0-esp32-20200420 (2020-04-20-16:15)
Licensed under GNU GPL v2
For bug reports, read
http://openocd.org/doc/doxygen/bugs.html

Error: unable to open ftdi device with vid 0403, pid 6010, description 'Flyswatter2', serial '*' at bus location '*'
If I run LSUSB I get:
Jims-MacBook-Pro-486:interface jim$ lsusb
Bus 020 Device 019: ID 0403:6010 Future Technology Devices International, Ltd FT2232C Dual USB-UART/FIFO IC
System Profiles shows it also:

Hi @jimhelios,

I see this is an old thread without replies, however I assume you found a solution to this problem. I find myself in the same situation, could you help me with a solution or a pointer where I can start?

Much appreciated,
Gabe
