About the timestamp in wifi_promiscuous_pkt_t

Postby salieri » Thu Aug 24, 2023 9:14 am

The timestamp precision of this wifi receive packet is 1 microsecond, but the CPU frequency of esp32 is up to 240MHz. obviously this timestamp precision is not enough. How can I get a more accurate timestamp for the wifi receiver packet?

Micro-second resolution is obviously enough.

If the WiFi driver opts to only give us micro-seconds there's not much that can be done about it, since the ESPs' RF hardware and driver is closed-source.
