ESP-32 with arduino IDE giving TG1WDT_SYS_RESET

Postby harshcht » Fri Sep 09, 2022 3:43 am

I'm using arduino IDE to program an ESP32-WROOM-32D module. The code upload is successful however after uploading the code on the serial terminal I'm getting :

rst:0x8 (TG1WDT_SYS_RESET),boot:0x17 (SPI_FAST_FLASH_BOOT)
configsip: 0, SPIWP:0xee
clk_drv:0x00,q_drv:0x00,d_drv:0x00,cs0_drv:0x00,hd_drv:0x00,wp_drv:0x00
mode:DIO, clock div:1
load:0x3fff0030,len:1344
load:0x40078000,len:13864
load:0x40080400,len:3608
entry 0x400805f0

This is repeatedly printed. The code is a simple digital read a simple digital read
  1. void setup() {
  2.   pinMode(11,INPUT);
  3.   Serial.begin(115200);
  4. }
  5.
  6. void loop() {
  7.   // put your main code here, to run repeatedly:
  8.   Serial.println(digitalRead(11));
  9. }
Any reasons why this could be happening ?

I get same error with ESP32-CAM. I can also upload code but it starts bootlooping with this error. It happened after I tried to power it with external power adapter (5V 160mA DC). When I tried to power it with adapter power flickered a bit and then this error started. Maybe some hardware burned after inconsistent current or boot sector got corrupted ? I am kinda new with ESP modules so I cannot figure out what is causing this error.
