removing unwanted namespaces from nis

I would like to drop namespaces from nvs which I do not need any mode.

Method Preferences.remove removes an unwanted keys. This does work.

However method Preferences.clear should only clears all keys in the namespace but not the namespaces itself. I searched the web on this subject but could not find it.

Anybody has any idea how to remove the namespace as well??
