ESP-32S: How to send MIDI sysex commands through BLE to Roland FP-30 piano?

Hi,
I would like to build a remote controller for the Roland FP-30 piano with ESP-32S. For this I need to send midi commands from the esp to roland over ble.
I checked the following github projects:
(1) https://github.com/jcgfsantos/BLEMidiMETROland
(2) https://github.com/evanraalte/RolandPiano
I tested the second one by connecting my laptop to the piano over usb-midi cabel. It works.
But when I would like to send the exact same messages through bluetooth from esp, it doesnt have the same effect.
For example I can turn on the metronome with the second project's python code over usb. But I can't turn on the metronome with c++ code from esp over ble.
If you have any suggestion on how to turn on the metronome over ble from ESP, please help.
