how to get full list of Characteristic UUID after connects to a service UUID

I have been playing around with an ESP32 board on Arduino IDE and tried many of the demo codes on BLE, but none of the examples is able to scan the Characteristic List after I connect to a Service UUID.

is there a function that I can simply scan and list out all the Characteristic attributes(read, write, notify... etc) of the device that I connected to?
