Hello, I am interested in the reason why in most of all the tutorial videos and blogs people are using FTDI programmer instead of arduino board. Are there any disadvantages of using arduino board for programming ESP32cam? Because of the fact I need to be sure about their (FTDI programmer and Arduino board) difference, I wanted to create a new topic. If you have information please provide with me. Thanks in advance.

The esp32 act as and Arduino board, so they are controller the same way. In order to program your Arduino you need a type of FTDI to connect to your PC usb.
There is a lot of esp32 boards with on-board FTDI so you connect your PC usb direct to the board.
