Arduino IDE Update

I had ESP32 installed in the Arduino IDE1.8.8 from Github by cloning and using GIT Bash as detailed in the readme md.
When I updated the Arduino IDE to 1.8.9 my ESP32 installation is to be done again.
Is there a way of installing the esp32 boards in any other way to avoid reinstalling the esp32 boards.
