Any progress or timeframe for full S3 support?

I've managed to create a somewhat working arduino-esp32 component for the S3 by patching a bunch of the cores/esp32/esp32-hal-* files and a few of the libraries but it would be nice to get some official support. Any idea when we can expect this?
