In the arduino IDE, I am trying to install a library to drive WS1812B type LED'S. I've tried 2 different libraries and both get the same error.
WARNING: Error loading hardware folder C:\ .... \Arduino\hardware\espressif
No valid hardware definitions found in folder espressif.
I re-installed the espressif folder and still get the same error.
How do I find what hardware definitions are missing?
I've searched on the error message and haven't found anything useful so far.
The Arduino IDE has been running successfully until this time as I've been getting into the ESP32 and trying several different thing around the blinky led and connecting to the Internet.
One thing that I'm wondering about is if this download is only for a proper Arduino board and maybe not the ESP32 I've an Arduino Duo ordered to see if this is the issue, but was wondering what else I could try in the meantime or if there was another way that would enable me to obtain more info on this issue.
Any help would be appreciated.

On another forum, a kind person posted this solution which seems to work. Now I need to find some documentation on how to use this.
I think you installed the new library in the wrong place. Remove it from the library folder where you have installed it. Now check that ESP32 can start correctly. If not, reinstall the ESP32 again. If that works, now leave the zip file for the strip led library in downloads, do not unzip. With the IDE menu, select sketch, include library and find the zip file. It will now be installed correctly.
