read raw hex from SPIFFS into an array

Hi, Im having some trouble working with SPIFFS.

I have some .bin files with raw hex that I want to store in SPIFFS...and then be able to read out that stored .bin file and put the contents (byte by byte) into an array...or a string...or variable...

Ive uploaded the .bin files into SPIFFS, but Im not sure where to go from here...how to process them and read them on a low level for use in my main program.
